Rosalyn McCloreMusic DirectorBorn in Memphis, Tennessee, Rosalyn McClore is a distinguished jazz pianist, vocalist, music director, and educator whose career reflects a deep commitment to musical excellence, tradition, and service. She studied jazz piano and piano pedagogy at the University of Memphis, where her academic training was further enriched through mentorship with world-renowned jazz pianists. Equally at home on the concert stage and in sacred settings, she brings a rich, expressive artistry to every space she serves.
In addition to her extensive work as a performing artist, Rosalyn has devoted much of her career to Church Music Ministry. She has served in a variety of roles including pianist, vocalist, accompanist, arranger and music director, collaborating closely with pastors, choirs, and congregations to create worship experiences that are spiritually meaningful and musically refined. Her background allows her to move seamlessly between traditional hymns, gospel music, choral repertoire, and contemporary sacred works, always with sensitivity to the worship moment and the message being conveyed.
Rosalyn is also the owner of Miss McClore Studios, a boutique and elite music teaching studio dedicated to nurturing young musicians and guiding them into the world of music through thoughtful, individualized instruction. Through piano or vocal study and foundational musicianship, the studio emphasizes discipline, creativity, and a deep appreciation for musical tradition, providing students with a strong and inspiring introduction to music education.
In February 2022, Rosalyn released her debut album, The Pretty Painted Ladies of Wellington Street, a project that pays tribute in part to the enduring legacy of Nina Simone. She is also developing an off-Broadway production exploring Simone’s life and music, further demonstrating her dedication to preserving and honoring musical history.
A compelling live performer, Rosalyn has been described as a “hidden gem,” captivating audiences with performances marked by depth, sincerity, and emotional honesty. Her work has brought her to elite stages and private events, where she has performed for the Philadelphia Academy of Music, Sting, Michael Jordan, Martha Stewart, Michael J. Fox, George Soros, and members of the Kennedy Family.
Beyond performance, Rosalyn is deeply committed to education and mentorship. Through teaching, workshops, and community engagement, she continues to nurture musicians of all ages, encouraging artistic growth while honoring the traditions that sustain great music.
